Pagosa Springs

April 22-28 Laying low

I’m combining a few days, because we have been pretty quiet since arriving in Colorado

It’s amazing how soaking and exercising in a hot tub for 15 minutes daily can help in the healing process. The strength in my arm has doubled and the range of motion has increased dramatically! Yay. My fingers are still numb and the pain comes and goes, but it was certainly worth taking a few days to rest.

Other than taking a couple drives, going to a sweet church on Sunday, and the fishing trips Ted talked about ( see “Notice” post), we have done very little. The elevation is a little over 7000 feet and we can certainly feel it!

One interesting event has been a unique weather event. If rain falls from the sky, we say it is raining. If snow is falling, it is snowing. So, if mud is falling, is it mudding? Everybody’s car is covered with mud spots because it started to sprinkle during the wind storm.

The effects of Mudding
Ted’s culinary invention, hardboiled eggs and strawberries. There is a reason I don’t let him cook often.

We are planning to leave our cozy little nest and head east tomorrow morning. I’m looking forward to more adventures now that I’m rested and healed a little more.
